WuKun Steel finished steel sales in Yunnan total 4 million tonnes in Jan to Nov

Friday, 13 Jan 2012Yunnan Province based Chinese steelmaker WuKun Steel Company a joint venture of Wuhan Iron & Steel Group Co and Kunming Iron and Steel Group has stated that in January to November 2011 it sold 4.58 million tonnes of finished steel in Yunnan Province accounting for 89% of its total sales.

WuKun Steel estimates that its sales revenue in 2011 will reach CNY 58 billion while it expects its annual sales revenue to exceed CNY 100 billion by 2014.

In 2010 the annual crude steel output capacity of WuKun Steel increased to 7 million tonnes from 5 million tonnes in 2009. In December 2011 after the commissioning of its 2,500 cubic meters blast furnace, its steel production capacity has increased further.
